O Exército está investigando o desaparecimento de metralhadoras que estavam no Comando Militar do Sudeste, em Barueri, na Grande São Paulo. Segundo o Comando Militar do Sudeste, uma inspeção – feita no dia 10 de outubro – constatou uma “discrepância no controle” de 21 metralhadoras do Arsenal de Guerra de São Paulo. Desse total, 13 metralhadoras tinham calibre.50 (que teriam o poder de derrubar aeronaves) e oito eram de calibre 7,62.
Por meio de nota, o Comando Militar do Sudeste informou que essas metralhadoras eram “inservíveis”, ou seja, não funcionavam e haviam sido recolhidas para manutenção, estando armazenadas no arsenal. O Comando Militar explicou que o arsenal é uma unidade técnica de manutenção, responsável pelo processo de desfazimento e destruição de armamentos que não possam ser reparados.
“Imediatamente, foram tomadas todas as providências administrativas com o objetivo de apurar as circunstâncias do fato, sendo instaurado um Inquérito Policial Militar”, disse o órgão, informando que toda a tropa está “aquartelada de prontidão”, ou seja, proibida de ir para casa. Essa tropa, disse o Comando, seria formada por cerca de 480 militares, que estão sendo ouvidos na investigação.
Armas antiaéreas
Também por meio de nota, a Secretaria de Segurança Pública de São Paulo disse lamentar o furto das 13 armas antiaéreas (de calibre.50), mas informou não ter sido oficialmente comunicada sobre a ocorrência do fato.
“Tendo em vista o evidente risco de desdobramentos para a segurança da população, as polícias civil e militar empreendem massivos esforços no sentido da localização do material subtraído e da identificação e prisão dos autores do crime”, disse a pasta, em nota. (COM AGÊNCIA BRASIL)
