Dados elaborados pela Associação Brasileira das Indústrias de Calçados (Abicalçados) apontam que, entre janeiro e julho, a indústria calçadista embarcou 56,2 milhões de pares, que geraram US$ 570,25 milhões, resultados inferiores tanto em volume (-23%) quanto em receita (-21,6%) em relação ao mesmo período do ano passado.
O presidente-executivo da Abicalçados, Haroldo Ferreira, destaca que existe uma expectativa de atenuação das quedas ao longo do segundo semestre do ano, mas que o setor, mesmo assim, deverá encerrar o ano com dados negativos “na casa de dois dígitos”. “Em 2024, além da baixa dinâmica do consumo internacional, estamos com dificuldades adicionais nos dois principais destinos do calçado brasileiro no exterior. Nos Estados Unidos, temos uma invasão de calçados asiáticos, que vêm ganhando market share em detrimento do nosso produto. Já na Argentina, temos uma crise interna que vem afetando diretamente a nossa performance. No início do ano, esperávamos uma recuperação econômica mais rápida, o que não está acontecendo”, avalia o dirigente.
Destinos
O principal destino do calçado brasileiro no exterior seguem sendo os Estados Unidos, que entre janeiro e julho importaram 5,97 milhões de pares de calçados verde-amarelos, pelos quais foram pagos US$ 125,96 milhões, resultados inferiores tanto em volume (-5,4%) quanto em receita (-7,5%) em relação ao mesmo período do ano passado.
Em crise econômica e consumo em queda, a Argentina está com suas importações em declínio. Nos sete primeiros meses de 2024, os hermanos importaram 5,84 milhões de pares verde-amarelos por US$ 112,17 milhões, resultados inferiores tanto em volume (-37,6%) quanto em receita (-24,9%) em relação ao mesmo intervalo de 2023.
MG é o sexto maior exportador
O Rio Grande do Sul segue sendo o maior exportador de calçados do Brasil. Entre janeiro e julho de 2024, as fábricas gaúchas embarcaram 17,93 milhões de pares por US$ 278,65 milhões.
