A Caixa Econômica Federal informou nesta quarta-feira (6) que R$ 12,3 bilhões do Saque Emergencial do Fundo de Garantia do Tempo de Serviço (FGTS) não foram sacados e, em razão disso, retornarão para as contas vinculadas dos trabalhadores, devidamente corrigidos.
O calendário de pagamentos do Saque Emergencial do FGTS no valor de R$ 1.045 começou em junho e terminou em dezembro. Durante todo o calendário, foram disponibilizados R$ 36,5 bilhões para 51,1 milhões de trabalhadores. Ou seja, 33,7% do total não foi retirado.
O saque emergencial foi criado por meio da Medida Provisória 946/20 em meio ao conjunto de ações do governo para atenuar os impactos da pandemia de coronavírus.
O calendário de crédito em conta e saque foi estabelecido com base no mês de nascimento do trabalhador. A partir da data de crédito dos valores na Poupança Social Digital, os recursos puderam ser utilizados em transações eletrônicas pelo aplicativo Caixa Tem e, posteriormente, os valores remanescentes ficaram disponíveis para saque em espécie ou transferência, sem custo, para outras contas.
Dos R$ 36,5 bilhões creditados, a Caixa registrou o retorno de R$ 12 bilhões para as contas do FGTS referentes aos recursos que não foram movimentados nas Poupanças Sociais Digitais. Cerca de 19 milhões de trabalhadores preferiram não utilizar esses recursos e tiveram os valores retornados às suas contas de FGTS devidamente corrigidos. Outros 400 mil trabalhadores registraram o pedido formal de desfazimento de créditos automáticos realizados pela Caixa, totalizando R$ 300 milhões também retornados ao FGTS por esse motivo.
