O Fundo Monetário Internacional (FMI) elevou, de 2% para 2,5% ao ano, a previsão de crescimento de médio prazo para a economia brasileira. A estimativa consta do relatório anual do organismo sobre o Brasil, divulgada nesta quinta-feira (11).
Em maio, o FMI tinha emitido comunicado preliminar informando que elevaria a projeção de médio prazo para o crescimento do Produto Interno Bruto (PIB, soma das riquezas produzidas) do país. Na ocasião, técnicos do Fundo visitaram o Brasil entre 15 e 27 de maio para fazer uma avaliação da economia brasileira.
Segundo o relatório, a atividade econômica brasileira tem crescido de forma constante e superado as expectativas. O documento destaca várias medidas como positivas para a economia brasileira no médio prazo. As principais são a reforma tributária sobre o consumo e o plano de transformação ecológica.
O FMI também destaca que a agenda de crescimento sustentável e inclusiva e a tramitação de reformas que favoreçam o ambiente de negócios impulsionam o crescimento econômico. O documento também cita a redução do desmatamento, o avanço na criação da Taxonomia Sustentável Brasileira (padronização de práticas de economia sustentável), a nova estrutura para o mercado de carbono e a emissão do primeiro título verde no mercado internacional.
