O Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE) decidiu suspender as provas do processo seletivo para recenseadores e agentes censitários que trabalhariam no Censo 2021. De acordo com o instituto, portanto, as provas não serão mais realizadas nas datas programadas no edital (18 e 25 de abril).
A decisão de suspender as provas foi tomada, segundo o IBGE, devido ao corte de 96% dos recursos previstos no Orçamento Geral da União para a realização do Censo Demográfico, previsto para este ano.
O IBGE destacou, no entanto, que o processo seletivo não foi cancelado e informou que avaliará, junto com o Cebraspe, empresa organizadora do concurso, um novo planejamento para aplicação das provas, a “depender de um posicionamento do Ministério da Economia acerca do orçamento do Censo Demográfico”.
O concurso para trabalhadores do Censo 2021 oferece cerca de 17 mil vagas para agentes censitários e 182 mil vagas para recenseadores.
