Chega ao fim, nesta segunda-feira (19), o prazo para inscrições no Programa de Reserva de Vagas (PROCAN) do Vestibular da UEMG 2023. Ao todo, 50% das 4.607 vagas oferecidas neste processo seletivo, são reservadas ao programa de cotas e outros 5% ao programa de Inclusão Regional. O vestibular da Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais (UEMG) contempla 128 cursos presenciais distribuídos em 18 cidades. O prazo para solicitação de isenção da taxa de inscrição também termina nesta segunda.
A reserva de vagas pelo PROCAN se destina a seis categorias: negros; quilombolas; indígenas; ciganos; egressos de escolas públicas; e pessoas com deficiência. Os candidatos devem, obrigatoriamente, ter cursado todo o ensino médio em escolas públicas, sejam elas municipais, estaduais ou federais, e ter renda familiar bruta, per capita, de até 1,5 salário mínimo, com exceção das pessoas com deficiência. Confira a distribuição das vagas:
Categoria I – 21% para candidatos de baixa renda e egressos de escola pública, declarados negros;
Categoria II – 3% para candidatos de baixa renda e egressos de escola pública, declarados quilombolas;
Categoria III – 3% para candidatos de baixa renda e egressos de escola pública, declarados indígenas;
Categoria IV – 2% para candidatos de baixa renda e egressos de escola pública, declarados ciganos;
Categoria V – 16% para outros candidatos de baixa renda e egressos de escola pública;
Categoria VI – 5% para pessoas com deficiência.
Além do PROCAN, 5% das vagas do Vestibular 2023 se destinam à inclusão regional, que busca contribuir com o desenvolvimento das regiões onde estão inseridas as unidades da UEMG. Os candidatos devem residir em Minas Gerais e ter cursado o ensino médio, integralmente, em instituições públicas sediadas no estado.
Interessados em ingressar na UEMG através do PROCAN ou da inclusão regional devem indicar a opção no ato da inscrição e providenciar a documentação necessária. O resultado final do processo seletivo vai ser divulgado no dia 13 de março.
