Começa na terça (4) e vai até domingo (9) a etapa regional dos Jogos Estudantis de Minas Gerais (JEMG) em Nova Serrana. Atletas representando 50 municípios da região, competem nas modalidades de basquete, futsal, handebol, vôlei e xadrez, nos naipes masculino e feminino, nos módulos I e II.
Os municípios participantes da etapa regional em Nova Serrana são: Santa Luzia, Itabirito, Betim, Pitangui, Arcos, Nova Lima, Congonhas, Abaeté, Divinópolis, Vespasiano, Conselheiro Lafaiete, Desterro de Entre Rios, Ribeirão das Neves, Lagoa da Prata, Maravilhas, Martinho Campos, Sete Lagoas, Pará de Minas, Paraopeba, Bom Despacho, Carmo do Cajuru, Juatuba, Pitangui, Ouro Branco, Mateus Leme, Mariana, Diogo de Vasconcelos, Sarzedo, Caeté, Pompéu, Oliveira, Piranga, Onça de Pitangui, Contagem, Pedro Leopoldo, Ouro Preto, Acaiaca, Esmeraldas, Igaratinga, Itaúna, Belo Vale, Sabará, Brumadinho, Queluzito, Itaguara, Florestal, Entre Rios de Minas, Piranga e Nova Serrana.
A abertura oficial será na terça (4), às 19h, na Arena do Calçado (Arena Carlos Alberto Scaldini Garcia “Saborella”.
JEMG
Destinados a jovens de 12 a 17 das escolas públicas e particulares do Estado, o JEMG tem se tornado o maior evento esportivo-social do país. Entre atletas, professores e outros profissionais, quase 2.500 pessoas estarão em Nova Serrana na próxima semana.
O JEMG é uma iniciativa da Secretaria de Estado de Desenvolvimento Social (Sedese), por meio da Subsecretaria de Esportes, em parceria com a Secretaria de Estado de Educação (SEE). A execução técnica é de responsabilidade da Federação de Esportes Estudantis de Minas Gerais – FEEMG. A sede em Nova Serrana é uma iniciativa da Prefeitura de Nova Serrana, através das secretarias municipais de Educação e Cultura, Esporte e Lazer, Desenvolvimento Econômico e Turismo, com o apoio da Câmara Municipal de Nova Serrana.
