O governo municipal tem trabalhado para construir e entregar diversas unidades de saúde, com sede própria, em várias regiões de Nova Serrana. E entre elas, está a UBS do distrito de Boa Vista de Minas.
O prefeito Euzebio Lago, que tem acompanhado o andamento das obras pelo município, ressaltou: “quando nós assumimos o governo em 2017 nós tínhamos apenas 54% de cobertura de UBS, hoje é 100%, e, com isso, vem a construção das sedes próprias. Isto é, saindo do aluguel e dando melhores condições para todos que usam o serviço, além também dos funcionários.”
Para construção, tem sido investido mais de 1,5 milhão de reais. A UBS está localizada na rua Augusto Correa Lacerda, no Distrito de Boa Vista de Minas, em Nova Serrana.
Segundo o secretário de Obras e Desenvolvimento Urbano, a obra está aproximadamente 70% executada. A Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS) do local é do tipo II e busca atender as demandas da região.
