O Ministério da Educação (MEC) informou ontem (4) que o Fundo de Financiamento Estudantil (Fies) vai oferecer 93 mil vagas para 2021.
A expectativa era que fossem liberadas 100 mil vagas para a edição deste ano, assim como foi feito no Fies 2020. No entanto, o plano trienal do Fies foi aprovado na última semana para oferecer 279 mil vagas até a edição de 2023. Sendo assim, serão 93 mil vagas em cada uma das próximas três edições do programa.
Na última resolução do plano trienal do Fies, publicada em 2018, foram estabelecidas as 100 mil vagas anuais, que foram utilizadas nas edições do Fies de 2019 e 2020. O número ainda seria válido para 2021, mas no ano passado o MEC já havia informado que pretendia diminuir as vagas.
Além disso, em 2020 o Fies também foi reformulado. A modalidade P-Fies, com juros calculados pelo banco, foi extinta e os critérios para a utilização das notas do Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (Enem) também foram alterados.
Porém, mesmo com a diminuição das vagas do Fies para as próximas edições, o orçamento foi mantido com o valor de R$ 500 milhões.
As inscrições para o Fies 2021 do primeiro semestre serão realizadas de 26 a 29 de janeiro. Poderão participar o candidato que fez o Enem entre 2010 e 2019, obteve média mínima de 450 pontos e nota acima de zero na redação. Além disso, é preciso comprovar renda de até três salários mínimos por pessoa da família.
Nesta edição o MEC não vai utilizar as notas do Enem 2020, já que as provas do exame serão aplicadas após o período de inscrição do Fies. O resultado é esperado para o dia 2 de fevereiro.
