O Governo de Minas recebe nesta quarta-feira (24) mais um lote de 220 mil doses da vacina AstraZeneca / Fiocruz (dose 1) e 137.4 mil da CoronaVac/Butantan (doses 1 e 2), para dar continuidade à Campanha Nacional de Vacinação contra a covid-19 no estado. O carregamento chega às 11h30, no Aeroporto Internacional de Belo Horizonte, em Confins.
De lá, sob escolta da Polícia Federal, as vacinas seguem para a Central Estadual da Rede de Frio da Secretaria de Estado de Saúde (SES-MG), de onde serão distribuídas, nos próximos dias, às Unidades Regionais de Saúde (URS) e aos municípios mineiros. O público-alvo e os quantitativos que as prefeituras irão receber serão anunciados pela SES-MG na sexta-feira (26).
A cobertura da primeira dose da vacina entre trabalhadores de Saúde, população índigena aldeada, idosos em instituições de longa permanência, pessoas com 90 anos ou mais é de 69%. A cobertura da segunda dose está em 29%, de acordo com a população estimada pelo Ministério da Saúde.

Este é o quinto lote de vacinas que chega ao estado. A operação para campanha de vacinação na história de Minas Gerais começou no dia 18/1, data da chegada do primeiro lote de vacinas, quando foram recebidas 577.480 doses de CoronaVac.
A segunda remessa foi composta por 190,5 mil doses de AstraZeneca, a terceira, com 87,6 mil doses de Corona Vac, e a quarta, com 315,6 mil doses de CoronaVac.
Com a chegada das 357,4 mil doses nesta quarta-feira, Minas Gerais terá recebido um total 1.528.580 doses do governo federal.
