De acordo com o Novo Cadastro Geral de Empregados e Desempregados (Novo Caged), o saldo positivo do sexto mês do ano foi de 28.354 postos de trabalho em todo o estado de Minas Gerais, levando a 162 mil vagas abertas em 2024.
O melhor saldo havia sido registrado em 2021, com 203 mil postos de trabalho. Já no ano seguinte, atingiu 147 mil e, em 2023, 144 mil vagas de emprego.
Desde janeiro, Minas Gerais mantém uma sequência consistente e positiva de geração de empregos. Nos últimos seis anos (2019-2024) o total de postos de trabalho também é significativo, e já chega a 898 mil.
Empreendedorismo aquece oferta de postos
Conforme balanço divulgado pela Junta Comercial do Estado de Minas Gerais (Jucemg), no primeiro semestre deste ano o volume de empresas abertas até junho totalizou mais de 48 mil (48.155): alta de 12,4% frente ao mesmo período de 2023. Na mesma base de comparação, a média de novos negócios criados por dia no estado aumentou de 238 para 266.

Graças a ações do Governo de Minas, como a digitalização de serviços, atração de investimentos privados e promoção do Feirão de Empregos da Sedese, o estado tem o segundo maior estoque de empregos do país, com 4,9 milhões de pessoas empregadas com carteira assinada.
O Vale do Jequitinhonha é uma das regiões em Minas que também vem sentindo os efeitos da melhora do ambiente do mercado de trabalho. No município de Salinas, o Vale do Lítio do Governo de Minas tem provocado uma cadeia de desenvolvimento econômico que impulsiona os mercados locais.
Dados mais recentes do Sebrae Minas, com base no Novo Caged, mostram que as micro e pequenas empresas (MPEs) mineiras criaram este ano 85 mil vagas, mais de 60% do saldo total de postos de trabalho do estado. O número coloca Minas como a segunda unidade federativa do país com o maior superávit de empregos gerados por pequenos negócios. (COM AGÊNCIA MINAS)
