Moradores de diversas regiões de Nova Serrana denunciaram durante todo o fim de semana e, nesta segunda-feira (1º), o desabastecimento de água em suas residências. Vários bairros foram citados, como por exemplo: Concesso Elias, Lincoln Nogueira, Itapuã e outros.
Em nota enviada à imprensa no início da noite de hoje, a Copasa disse que registrou, nos últimos dias, um aumento acentuado no consumo de água em Nova Serrana. Em decorrência da elevação das temperaturas, tornou-se necessária a realização de manobras operacionais para equilibrar a distribuição de água na cidade. Em razão disso, o abastecimento no município, principalmente nas partes mais altas, apresenta intermitência nesta segunda-feira. Contudo, sequer deu uma previsão de quando a situação voltará ao normal.
A Companhia afirmou ainda que estão em andamento as obras da segunda etapa de ampliação do Sistema de Abastecimento de Água e aumento da capacidade de tratamento da ETA. Segundo a Copasa, essas ações já deverão repercutir de forma positiva na melhoria do abastecimento da cidade em até 60 dias.
