    MORADORES ESTÃO HÁ QUATRO DIAS SEM ÁGUA EM NOVA SERRANA

    Nova Serrana vive, mais uma vez, um episódio lamentável envolvendo a Companhia de Saneamento de Minas Gerais (Copasa). Muitos moradores completam hoje (6), quatro dias sem água.

    O fornecimento de água foi interrompido na última quinta-feira (2), quando uma chuva carregada com fortes ventos, provocou a interrupção de energia elétrica em diversos pontos da cidade, incluindo a Estação de Tratamento de Água do Rio Pará. Segundo a empresa, o fornecimento de energia foi restabelecido na madrugada de sábado (4). A previsão dada pela companhia era de que o abastecimento fosse completamente restabelecido no decorrer do dia de domingo (05).

    Em áudio divulgado nas redes sociais no último sábado, o prefeito de Nova Serrana, Euzebio Lago, disse que já havia solicitado a empresa que providenciasse um gerador para evitar situações como esta. Ainda segundo ele, a Copasa tirou o gerador, o que fez com que a ETA ficasse em torno de 12 horas sem bombear água. Após todo o transtorno, dois geradores foram instalados na noite de sexta e manhã de sábado.

    Euzebio ressaltou ainda que o contrato com a Copasa está nulo, mas que a empresa tem que ficar no município até que outra empresa assuma. Segundo ele, haverá uma licitação em janeiro de 2022 e a previsão é de até o fim de fevereiro haja outra empresa na cidade para prestar o serviço de abastecimento de água, coleta e tratamento de esgoto.

    O Jornal Gazeta entrou em contato com a Copasa na manhã desta segunda-feira (6), para cobrar um posicionamento sobre a falta de água em Nova Serrana e não obteve resposta até o momento.
