Com a definição das datas para exigência Certificado de Registro e Licenciamento do Veículo (CRLV), cujo vencimento começou em agosto e se encerra no dia 31/10, motoristas que se encontram inadimplentes com o Imposto sobre Propriedade de Veículos Automotores (IPVA) 2024 têm a oportunidade de fazer o parcelamento do débito em até 12 vezes.
O parcelamento pode ser simulado e contratado diretamente pela internet, no site da Secretaria de Estado da Fazenda (SEF), escolhendo a opção IPVA no menu de acesso rápido da página inicial e, na página interna, clicando em Parcelamento. O valor de multa e juros pelo atraso é calculado automaticamente.
Na opção 1, o motorista pode fazer a simulação do parcelamento e, se considerar adequado, promover a inclusão do parcelamento na própria internet. Ao final, deve pagar o documento de arrecadação para ter o processo efetivado. No entanto, mensalmente, ele deve lembrar de emitir e quitar a parcela seguinte, que vence no penúltimo dia útil do mês.
É preciso observar que o valor mínimo das parcelas deve ser de R$ 200. Ou seja, débitos inferiores a R$ 400 não poderão ser parcelados.

O não pagamento do IPVA pode acarretar na inscrição do débito em dívida ativa e encaminhamento para protesto cartorial. Além disso, o motorista não terá acesso ao Certificado de Registro e Licenciamento do Veículo (CRLV), que é emitido pelo órgão executivo de trânsito estadual. O veículo que for flagrado circulando sem o CRLV 2024 estará sujeito às sanções previstas no Código de Trânsito Brasileiro (CTB). (COM AGÊNCIA MINAS)
