As características do documento estão descritas na Resolução nº 886 do Conselho Nacional de Trânsito (Contran).
A nova CNH tem predominância das cores verde e amarelo, com inscrições em português, inglês e francês. O novo modelo segue o padrão internacional e no seu verso traz uma tabela com os desenhos dos veículos para identificar as categorias que o motorista está apto a conduzir. O verso do documento apresenta um QR Code, que armazena os dados do condutor, com exceção apenas da assinatura.
O delegado Eurico da Cunha Neto, diretor do Departamento de Trânsito de Minas Gerais (Detran-MG), ressalta que não haverá necessidade de substituição das carteiras válidas para o novo layout. “A mudança para o novo modelo da CNH será gradual para os condutores que renovarem sua habilitação, solicitarem segunda via, adição de categoria, alteração de dados ou para quem tirar a carteira pela primeira vez”, esclarece.
A delegada Maria Alice Faria, chefe da Divisão de Habilitação do Detran-MG, explica que agora será possível incluir no documento o nome social e a filiação afetiva do condutor que assim desejar, conforme determina a legislação. “É necessário primeiramente proceder com as devidas alterações na identificação civil, realizada pelo Instituto de Identificação da PCMG”, pontua.
No novo modelo, os motoristas permissionários serão identificados com a letra “P” no canto superior direito, enquanto aqueles que já possuem a CNH definitiva, serão identificados com a letra “D”. No documento constará, em campo específico e de forma codificada, se o condutor exerce atividade remunerada e se possui restrições médicas.
O documento também apresenta padrões de segurança contra falsificações, como o mapa do Brasil impresso com tinta de variação óptica, com DNA (elemento rastreável) da Secretaria Nacional de Trânsito (Senatran). Entre os itens de segurança também estão as imagens secretas, hologramas e impressões reativas a luz ultravioleta.
Com a nova CNH, que passa a contar com um código igual ao dos passaportes, também será permitido o embarque internacional nos aeroportos, direto nos terminais de autoatendimento.
