Com 100% das urnas apuradas, em Nova Serrana, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, eleito presidente da república nesse domingo (30), obteve 13.328 votos. Já o candidato do Partido Liberal (PL), Jair Messias Bolsonaro, obteve 34.819.
O resultado percentual deste segundo turno representa 72,32% de votos para o atual presidente, contra 27,68% de Lula, do Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT). No total foram 49.650 votos no município, sendo: 717 (1,45%) em branco e 786 (1,58%) nulos.
Em um comparativo, Bolsonaro obteve 3.721 votos a mais do que no primeiro turno, quando ficou com 31.098 (66,82%). Enquanto Lula teve um crescimento de 599 eleitores, visto que recebeu 12.729 (27,35%) votos em Nova Serrana na primeira etapa.
Já em Minas Gerais o presidente eleito terminou o segundo turno com 6.190.960 votos (50,20%) e o atual com 6.141.310 (49,80%). Uma diferença de 49.650 votos a mais para Lula. No estado 350.808 eleitores votaram nulo e 183.206 em branco.
Com o segundo maior colégio eleitoral do país, o estado foi o único do sudeste onde o presidente eleito ganhou. Mantendo o parâmetro ao longo dos anos, todos os que ocuparam o cargo máximo do executivo no Brasil por eleição, venceram em Minas.
