Nova Serrana segue brilhando no cenário esportivo mineiro. A delegação do município fez bonito na etapa regional dos Jogos Escolares de Minas Gerais (JEMG) 2025, realizada na cidade de Arcos/MG, e garantiu classificação para a etapa estadual, que acontecerá em Pará de Minas.
O time de Nova Serrana contou com 200 participantes, entre atletas, professores, monitores e motoristas, representando a cidade em diversas modalidades, tanto coletivas quanto individuais.
Entre os destaques, estão as equipes campeãs da etapa microrregional disputada em Cláudio, que seguiram com ótimo desempenho para a fase regional:
- Handebol Feminino Módulo I – E.E. Major Agenor Lopes Cançado
- Voleibol Feminino Módulo II – E.E. Maria Zeli Diniz Fonseca
Além dos esportes coletivos, Nova Serrana também garantiu vagas no atletismo, com atletas classificados nas provas de arremesso de peso, lançamento de dardo, e corridas de 100, 150 e 200 metros.

Ao todo, na etapa regional dos Jogos Escolares de Minas Gerais (JEMG), Nova Serrana conquistou um excelente resultado: foram 4 medalhas de ouro, 7 medalhas de prata e 1 medalha de bronze, somando importantes conquistas que reforçam o talento e a dedicação dos nossos estudantes.
