Rodovia estratégica para a economia brasileira, trecho da BR-262/MG entre Uberaba, importante cidade do Triângulo Mineiro, e Betim, na Região Metropolitana de Belo Horizonte, passando por Nova Serrana, foi a leilão nesta quinta-feira (31). A Rotas do Brasil S.A. venceu a disputa com uma proposta de 15,30% de desconto tarifário, o maior percentual entre as proponentes, e vai administrar a chamada Rota do Zebu pelos próximos 30 anos. O certame foi promovido pelo Ministério dos Transportes e prevê aportes de R$ 8,54 bilhões em obras de adequação de capacidade da rodovia e em serviços operacionais.
Estreante em leilões concessionários, o representante do grupo Rotas do Brasil S.A. afirmou que terá como prioridade ações que melhorem a vida de quem depende da rodovia. “Estamos aqui hoje porque acreditamos que estes projetos são necessários, atraentes e promissores. Reafirmamos e nos comprometemos a levar aos usuários da BR-262/MG uma nova rodovia. Com muito investimento, segurança e trafegabilidade nesta nova parceria”, falou o conselheiro da empresa, Giovanni Mott.
A BR 262 é conhecida como “Rota do Zebu” e possui 439,90 quilômetros de extensão atravessando regiões de grande adensamento populacional em Minas Gerais. Características que exigirão da concessionária obras para ampliação de fluxo, solucionando gargalos urbanos e logísticos. A melhoria desse segmento rodoviário também traz repercussões para a economia de Minas Gerais e do país. A BR-262/MG é muito usada para o escoamento de commodities, parte essencial das exportações brasileiras. Em sua totalidade, a estrada corta o Brasil de forma transversal, estendendo-se de Corumbá (MS) a Vitória (ES).
O projeto garante tarifas diferenciadas para pistas dupla e simples, além de desconto de 5% para usuários de dispositivos de pagamento eletrônico e descontos progressivos de acordo com a frequência de uso da rodovia. Estão previstas seis praças de pedágio. Quatro delas já existentes e localizadas nos municípios de Florestal, Luz, Campos Altos e Perdizes. As duas novas praças ficarão nas cidades de Nova Serrana e Araxá.
