O prefeito Fábio Avelar e a equipe da administração municipal apresentam nesta quarta (24), a proposta do Novo Código Tributário do município de Nova Serrana. Um projeto de lei que trata do assunto está tramitando na Câmara Municipal desde o início do mês de setembro.
O assunto ganhou repercussão e começou a ser discutido após ter sido exposta uma intenção da equipe que atua no Centro Administrativo em conseguir novas receitas financeiras, em meio à criação de novas taxas e ajuste de valores de tributos municipais já existentes. Tudo isso, misturado à adequação da legislação municipal ao novo sistema de tributação do governo federal, estados e municípios que unificou tributos. A secretária de Fazenda, Daisy Moreira, ocupando a Tribuna da Câmara Municipal na semana passada, explicou e defendeu a situação em nome da administração Fábio Avelar. Mas, também alegou que a prefeitura vem operando no “vermelho” com despesas superiores às receitas, e que as contas precisam fechar.

Toda a população, entidades de classe, associações comunitárias, representantes da sociedade civil organizada e demais interessados estão convidados a participar da Audiência Pública. O evento acontece no Auditório Higino Martins (Espaço Sindinova— Rua Paraíba, 10, centro), às 17h30. Durante a audiência, a equipe técnica municipal fará uma exposição detalhada sobre o conteúdo do Novo Código Tributário, além de abrir espaço para manifestação popular, mediante inscrição prévia no local.
