Em Minas, um novo pico de casos de coronavírus está para chegar. A projeção, divulgada nesta quinta-feira (30) pelo secretário de Estado de Saúde, Fábio Bacheretti, durante reunião do Comitê Extraordinário Covid-19, indica para as duas primeiras semanas de julho um aumento de casos provavelmente ainda maior que os 122% atuais – taxa de incidência nos últimos sete dias. “Este crescimento é esperado e justificado por fatores sazonais, como o período de frio, maio e junho, e o pós-feriado de Corpus Christi, que também trouxe dados represados”, afirmou.
A alternativa para enfrentar os efeitos da pandemia é a vacina, apontou Baccheretti. Ele abordou também os dados atuais de vacinação no estado, com destaque para a cobertura vacinal infantil da segunda dose, que ainda não atingiu 50% das crianças entre 5 e 11 anos. “Apesar de não haver aumento significativo no número de internações de crianças com covid-19 e de a adesão ter saltado 10% da última apresentação do comitê até hoje, a vacinação deste público é fundamental para evitarmos quadros graves de síndrome respiratória aguda grave”, ressaltou.
Para avançar no desafio de garantir a imunização para as crianças mineiras, ele explica que equipes da Secretaria de Estado de Saúde (SES-MG) têm visitado cidades do interior para a realização de treinamentos de busca ativa, uma das estratégias para informar pais e responsáveis sobre a importância de completarem o esquema vacinal contra a covid-19.
Outro caminho no enfrentamento à doença é a inclusão da segunda dose de reforço para o público adulto. Segundo o Painel Vacinômetro desta quinta-feira (30), 17,50% do público alvo já tomou a vacina pela quarta vez.
“A vacinação é nossa principal forma de proteção contra a covid-19 e as formas mais graves da doença. Tanto que o aumento na incidência de casos não tem influenciado diretamente no volume de internações e nem de óbitos por coronavírus”, reforça.
Ainda segundo o secretário, o pico esperado para as próximas duas próximas semanas não representa uma quarta onda ou uma nova cepa circulando em Minas Gerais. “Seguimos como referência nacional no combate à covid-19. A nossa taxa de letalidade é de 1,7%, contra 2,2% do Brasil. O indicador significa que a vacina salva vidas, evita mortes. Além disso, protege, pois a maioria dos novos pacientes que já estão imunizados têm sintomas leves, quadros tranquilos”, observou.
O médico destacou, ainda, que os indicadores atuais de número de internações e de óbitos são bem menores que nos anos anteriores, também graças à chegada da vacina e à adesão da população mineira ao imunizante. “Não me canso de repetir: quanto mais cobertura, mais segurança”, alertou.
Em Minas, 89,51% da população adulta tomou a primeira dose; 83,79% a segunda; 62,11% a primeira dose de reforço e 17,50% a segunda. Entre o público infantil, 70,26% está imunizado com a primeira dose e 44,91% também com a segunda.
