O governo municipal de Nova Serrana informou, nessa terça-feira (31), que as obras de infraestrutura nos bairros Fausto Pinto I e II entraram na reta final. Em nota, a assessoria de comunicação garantiu que a expectativa da secretaria de Desenvolvimento Urbano é de que as obras sejam finalizadas em cerca de 30 dias.
“Quem conhece Nova Serrana sabe dos inúmeros problemas e transtornos causados pelas chuvas todos os anos nos bairros Fausto Pinto I e II, mais precisamente na região da Apae. Enchentes, alagamentos, lama, buracos no asfalto e muitas vezes trechos completamente intransitáveis. No local já foram realizados e ainda estão em andamento diversos serviços de drenagem, recapeamento; ruas que não contavam com asfalto foram pavimentadas, no leito do ribeirão que corre na Avenida Pacífico Pinto foram feitas contenções com muro de gabião e o terceiro trecho da pista de cooper está sendo finalizado. Além disso, uma lagoa de contenção está sendo instalada a fim de armazenar e conter parte das águas pluviais”, disse em nota.
A intenção das obras, de acordo com o prefeito Euzebio Lago (MDB), é colocar fim a um antigo problema que acomete a cidade todos os anos. “A história já é conhecida. Todos os anos, nos meses de dezembro e janeiro, a população residente na região do Fausto Pinto I e II e, como consequência, nos bairros adjacentes como o Jardim do Lago, sofrem com inundações e dependendo da intensidade das chuvas, com enchentes de grandes proporções. Depois das chuvas aquele cenário caótico de sempre, lama por todas as ruas, casas e veículos danificados e claro, o risco para as pessoas. Não é um problema fácil de se resolver, mas estamos trabalhando há mais de um ano naquela região com o objetivo de minimizar o sofrimento desses moradores e oferecer mais qualidade de vida a eles”.
