O Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia (Inmet) divulgou na manhã de hoje, alerta com previsão de chuva entre 30 e 60 milímetros por hora (mm/h) ou 100 mm/dia e ventos intensos de 60 a 100 quilômetros por hora (km/h) nas próximas 24 horas para várias regiões do país, entre elas as regiões Metropolitana de São Paulo, de Belo Horizonte, do Rio de Janeiro e no Distrito Federal. A região Oeste de Minas está inclusa no alerta.
De acordo com o Inmet, há risco de corte de energia elétrica, queda de galhos de árvores, alagamentos e de descargas elétricas. O instituto orienta as pessoas a não se abrigarem debaixo de árvores, estacionarem seus veículos próximos a torres de transmissão de energia e perto de placas de propaganda.
O Inmet pede também que desliguem os equipamentos eletrônicos e o quadro geral de energia das moradias. A população pode obter mais informações na Defesa Civil, pelo telefone 199, e no Corpo de Bombeiros, ligando para o número 193.
