Uma pesquisa realizada pelo Instituto Locomotiva e pela QuestionPro mostra que oito em cada 10 adultos (80%) acreditam que o uso de celulares nas escolas deve ser proibido. Entre os pais, 82% concordam com essa proibição, também apoiada pela maioria dos entrevistados sem filhos (72%).
A percepção sobre a necessidade da proibição aparece em todas as faixas etárias de adultos, mas no caso de pessoas com 61 anos ou mais o índice é ainda maior: 87% apoiam a restrição. “Essa é uma concordância transversal na sociedade, não existe divergência. E essa concordância atravessa gênero, idade, todos os perfis”, explica a gerente de pesquisa quantitativa do Instituto Locomotiva, Gabrielle Selani.
Recentemente, o Ministério da Educação anunciou que está elaborando um projeto de lei para proibir o uso de celulares nas salas de aula. O tema também é debatido na Comissão de Educação da Câmara dos Deputados.
O levantamento identificou que 90% dos entrevistados concordam que as crianças de hoje em dia não querem mais brincar na rua por causa do uso do celular ou para assistir TV. Segundo a pesquisa, 69% acreditam que a idade ideal para ter o primeiro celular é a partir dos 13 anos, mas 86% acreditam que os jovens desejam ter um celular antes dessa idade.
“Está clara a concordância sobre a proibição do uso de celulares nas escolas, mas, além disso, é preciso monitorar o tempo e o conteúdo em si. É preciso estar atento também sobre o que acontece fora do muro das escolas”, diz Gabrielle.
Entre os efeitos negativos do uso de celular na infância, segundo os entrevistados, estão vício em tecnologia, aumento da ansiedade e depressão, problemas de sono, desempenho escolar prejudicado, dificuldades nas relações sociais e exposição ao cyberbullying.
A pesquisa realizou 1.491 entrevistas em todo o país, no período de 24 de junho a 8 de julho, abrangendo diversas regiões e perfis socioeconômicos. A margem de erro é de 2,5 pontos percentuais, com nível de confiança de 95%. (COM AGÊNCIA BRASIL)
