Até a próxima sexta (25) acontece o último Levantamento Rápido de Índices para Aedes aegypti (LIRAa) em 2024, em Nova Serrana. Segundo a coordenadoria de Endemias, a pesquisa que monitora focos do mosquito transmissor da dengue, zika e chikungunya contará com a participação de 40 agentes.
Durante cinco dias do levantamento, os agentes visitam imóveis previamente selecionados, fazendo a pesquisa larvária para identificar criadouros do mosquito. A metodologia utilizada segue as diretrizes do Programa Nacional de Combate à Dengue (PNCD).
Ações de conscientização e mobilização da comunidade também serão realizadas durante o LIRAa, com o objetivo de:
— Alertar a população sobre a importância do combate ao mosquito Aedes aegypti;
— Orientar sobre as medidas de prevenção contra as arboviroses;
— Promover a eliminação de criadouros do mosquito em residências e quintais.
A Vigilância Epidemiológica solicita a colaboração da população para o sucesso do LIRAa. É fundamental que os moradores permitam a entrada dos Agentes de Combate a Endemias (ACEs) em suas casas e sigam as orientações sobre o controle do mosquito.
