Quem disse que uma pessoa com necessidades especiais não pode conquistar o mundo? Os atletas paraolímpicos de Pitangui estão a cada competição mais aplicados e seguindo o caminho para um dia, quem sabe, competir nas paraolimpíadas mundial.
Nesta quarta-feira (10), segundo dia de competição das Paralimpíadas Escolares 2022, e a equipe pitanguiense com três atletas já conquistou três medalhas de ouro. A competição está sendo realizada em Brasília e vai até sexta-feira (12). Os atletas estão acompanhados do professor e treinador Walter Júnior.
A atleta Kássia Aparecida Pires de Souza conquistou ouro no Arremesso de Peso. Quem também se destacou foi João Guilherme Néri Alves, que levou a medalha de ouro nos 75 metros. Por fim, Matheus Henrique do Nascimento Oliveira também foi motivo de orgulho para Pitangui levando ouro no Lançamento da Pelota.
Os atletas que classificarem nesta fase participarão da etapa nacional que será realizada em São Paulo.
