PREFEITO DE NOVA SERRANA RECEBE PLANO DE SANEAMENTO BÁSICO E RESÍDUOS SÓLIDOS

A equipe da secretaria de Meio Ambiente e Sustentabilidade de Nova Serrana (Semas) entregou ao prefeito Euzebio Lago na sexta-feira (19), o Plano Municipal Integrado de Gestão dos Resíduos Sólidos Urbanos e de Saneamento Básico do município. O Plano traz projeções de crescimento do município e um conjunto de ações para modernizar o serviço de saneamento, corrigir falhas e reduzir os gastos públicos.

Segundo a prefeitura, todo o Plano foi discutido e sistematizado pela equipe da Secretaria de Meio Ambiente e Sustentabilidade e traz as perspectivas para os próximos 10 anos. O texto foi aprovado por unanimidade pelo Conselho Municipal de Saneamento Básico de Nova Serrana.

“É mais que uma responsabilidade é uma questão de dignidade humana. Todos têm o direito de ter acesso a água de qualidade para consumo, tratamento de esgoto, infraestrutura de drenagem e um meio ambiente rico e saudável, garanta assim qualidade de vida agora e para as próximas gerações”, destacou o prefeito Euzebio Lago.

Além da qualidade da água, tratamento de esgoto e preservação do meio ambiente, colocando o município em condições de acessar de forma adequada recursos públicos e privados, o Plano também trata da gestão dos resíduos sólidos produzidos em Nova Serrana, apontando medidas para a correta gestão, captação, descarte e aproveitamento destes resíduos, cuja produção chega a aproximadamente 57 toneladas diárias. O texto também aponta ações para minimizar os impactos nocivos decorrentes de enchentes, inundações e riscos de deslizamentos de encostas.

Estima-se que ao coordenar e conduzir de forma independente a elaboração do Plano, a Semas economizou cerca de R $1 milhão aos cofres públicos, além de permitir a viabilização de investimentos futuros superiores a R $300 milhões.

Na última quinta-feira (19), o Plano Municipal Integrado de Gestão dos Resíduos Sólidos Urbanos e de Saneamento Básico foi protocolado na Câmara Municipal para apreciação dos vereadores.
