Desde o início deste mês, por orientação da coordenação geral do Programa Nacional de Imunizações, a Secretaria de Saúde de Nova Serrana passou a disponibilizar em todas as unidades de saúde do município a vacina meningocócica C (Conjugada), voltada à imunização da Meningite C para as crianças de até 10 anos e profissionais de saúde.
A Meningo C é administrada em esquema de duas doses, aos três e cinco meses de vida, e uma dose de reforço, preferencialmente, aos 12 meses de idade.
Nesta fase da campanha, a vacina será direcionada às crianças e adolescentes até 10 anos, 11 meses e 29 dias de idade (não vacinados) e a “trabalhadores da saúde com esquema de uma dose, considerando a gravidade e a letalidade da doença, independentemente da idade”.
Essa estratégia está válida até fevereiro de 2023, de acordo com o documento do Ministério da Saúde.
Os documentos exigidos para a vacinação são CPF, cartão do SUS, cartão de vacinas e documento comprobatório de vínculo profissional.
É importante lembrar que a meningite é uma doença grave com alto índice de mortalidade. Procure a sua unidade de saúde durante o horário de vacinação e vacine-se: toda prevenção é importante.
