A OAB Nova Serrana entregou, nesta quarta-feira (25), um novo espaço para a advocacia no presídio de Nova Serrana, no intuito de proporcionar maior conforto à classe. Na unidade prisional constava apenas um parlatório, sendo que foi construído três parlatórios com cela integrada para que os reeducandos possam aguardar atendimento.
“A OAB Nova Serrana trabalha incansavelmente por melhores condições de trabalhos aos advogados, garantindo a amplitude de defesa e, sobretudo, preservando as garantias fundamentais dos reeducandos. Com os novos espaços os advogados terão mais privacidade e conforto para exercerem seus direitos de se comunicar com seus clientes. Trabalhamos arduamente em prol da valorização da advocacia e em respeito da nossa profissão. A união de esforços entre diferentes instituições para um bem comum demonstra o compromisso e respeito para com a sociedade novasserranense”, disse o presidente da OAB Nova Serrana, Ezequiel Cilas. Na ocasião, ele também aproveitou para agradecer todos os envolvidos no processo: advogados, OAB/MG, CAA/MG, Subseção e reeducandos.
O advogado Ronaldo Baya de Souza, inscrito na OAB/MG em 09/09/1980 e falecido no dia 05/01/2021, foi o homenageado com a construção dos novos parlatórios.
A inauguração contou com a presença do Rodrigues, a secretária geral, Jane Chirley Brandão, a secretária adjunta, Graciane Rodrigues Carneiro, a tesoureira, Lilia Aparecida Pimenta, o conselheiro Kleverson Mesquita Melo, o diretor da 7ª RISP, Sérgio Evaristo de Souza, o diretor do presídio, Michael Diêgo da Silva, a presidente da Comissão de Assuntos Carcerários da OAB Nova Serrana, Larissa Ferreira Ramos, a vice-presidente da comissão, Laís Ferreira Ramos, e o delegado da Caixa de Assistência dos Advogados em Nova Serrana, Syllas Corrêa Andrade.
