PRIMAVERA COMEÇA ÀS 3H50 DESTE SÁBADO (23)

Começa na madrugada deste sábado (23), mais precisamente às 3h50, a primavera no hemisfério sul. É neste horário que ocorre o chamado equinócio de primavera, quando o dia e a noite têm a mesma duração. É também neste horário que acontece, no hemisfério norte, o equinócio de outono.

 

Segundo o Observatório Nacional, o que marca as estações do ano é exatamente a maneira como os raios solares incidem nos hemisférios.  “Além da temperatura, um dos efeitos que evidenciam as estações é a variação dos comprimentos dos dias, ou seja, a quantidade de tempo que o Sol fica acima do horizonte”, informou o Observatório Nacional, ligado ao Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação.

 

As estações são mais percebidas na medida em que se afastam da linha do equador – linha imaginária que divide os dois hemisférios. Assim sendo, as características de cada estação praticamente não existem nas regiões próximas a essa linha. “No início da primavera, os dias terão aproximadamente o mesmo comprimento das noites. No hemisfério sul, os dias vão ficando cada vez maiores e as noites cada vez menores, até o maior dia do ano, que ocorre no início do verão, que neste ano será no dia 22 de dezembro”, explicou Josina Nascimento, astrônoma do Observatório Nacional.

 

Rotação da Terra

As diferentes estações do ano decorrem da inclinação do eixo de rotação da Terra em relação ao plano de órbita; e da posição do planeta em seu movimento de translação ao redor do Sol.

 

“À medida que a Terra orbita o Sol, seu eixo inclinado sempre aponta na mesma direção e isso faz com que diferentes partes da Terra recebam os raios diretos do Sol”, esclarece o Observatório.

 

Os solstícios e os equinócios não ocorrem sempre nos mesmos dias do ano. Em alguns anos, por exemplo, ele pode ser no dia 22. Em outros, a exemplo deste ano, podem acontecer no dia 23. Entre os motivos dessas diferenças está o de que o tempo decorrido entre dois equinócios é menor que o ano sideral, definido como o tempo de translação da Terra em torno do Sol.

 

“O nosso Calendário Gregoriano baseia-se no ano trópico e institui um ano bissexto em todos os anos divisíveis por quatro, exceto para séculos inteiros, que só são bissextos se forem múltiplos de 400. Isso faz com que o instante do início de uma estação seja próximo ao instante do início da mesma estação quatro anos antes ou quatro anos depois”, finalizou o Observatório. (COM AGÊNCIA BRASIL)
