    PROGRAMA OFERECE BOLSAS INTEGRAIS A DIABÉTICOS USUÁRIOS DO SUS

    O Programa Correndo pelo Diabetes (CPD), criado em 2017 por Bruno Herman, portador de diabetes tipo 1, está oferecendo bolsas integrais de atividade física multidisciplinar para pessoas com a doença e seus familiares, que sejam atendidos exclusivamente pelo Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS). O valor das atividades atinge R$ 150 por mês, mas usuários do SUS podem ter bolsas com até 100% de gratuidade, informou Herman.

    Ele explicou que o Programa Correndo pelo Diabetes se destina a todos os cidadãos e não só aos portadores de diabetes. Trata-se de um programa multidisciplinar que engloba desde o acompanhamento de um educador em diabetes, aulas semanais de ioga, prescrição de treinos de corrida ou caminhada, participação em encontros virtuais temáticos. Atualmente, o programa tem 70 participantes ativos. Incluindo atividades pontuais, esse número sobe para 100.

    Implementado pela primeira vez no quarto trimestre de 2019, o programa é aprovado pela Sociedade Brasileira de Diabetes (SBD) e integra atualmente as ações do Departamento de Diabetes, Esporte e Exercício da entidade. Dados do Ministério da Saúde revelam a existência de mais de 16,8 milhões de pessoas com a doença no Brasil, sendo que quase metade delas (46%) desconhece o diagnóstico.

    Desde o ano passado, por causa da pandemia de covid-19 e pela necessidade de ampliação em nível nacional, o programa aderiu ao formato virtual. O fato de ser portador de diabetes tipo 1 fez com que Bruno Herman decidisse criar o programa. “Por eu entender, viver isso e reconhecer a importância e a necessidade de promover a saúde, principalmente de inclusão das pessoas com diabetes, que ainda são muito estigmatizadas”.

    O programa está disponível durante o ano todo e por ser um projeto de impacto social, tem uma política de “para cada pagante, a gente tem um bolsista”. Cerca de 2 mil pessoas já participaram do projeto.

    – Estímulo

    Correndo pelo Diabetes é uma organização sem fins lucrativos, que tem como objetivo estimular a prática regular de atividade física como ferramenta de promoção da saúde e inclusão da pessoa que tem a doença. O projeto surgiu “com o objetivo de ajudar pessoas que não tinham a possibilidade de conviver com outras que tinham a doença e necessitavam de estímulo para a prática da atividade física. A gente percebeu que a troca entre pares, entre pessoas que convivem com diagnósticos semelhantes, é muito importante. Não só para melhor adesão ao tratamento, mas também para melhor qualidade de vida”, afirmou Bruno Herman.
