As campanhas nacionais de vacinação contra a Poliomielite e de Multivacinação foram prorrogadas até a próxima segunda-feira (24). O novo prazo foi divulgado na sexta-feira (14) pela Secretaria de Estado de Saúde de Minas Gerais (SES-MG).
Até o momento, Minas vacinou 78,34% do público alvo da Campanha Nacional de Vacinação contra a Poliomielite. Na Multivacinação, 827.106 doses foram aplicadas em crianças e adolescentes. O objetivo do Estado é ampliar a cobertura vacinal e alcançar a meta preconizada pelo Ministério da Saúde (MS) que é vacinar 95% das crianças menores de 5 anos contra a pólio. Para a Campanha Nacional de Multivacinação, a meta é atualizar a caderneta de vacinação dos menores de 15 anos de idade.
– Público alvo
Contra a poliomielite, devem ser imunizadas as crianças na faixa etária de 1 a 4 anos 11 meses e 29 dias. As crianças com o esquema básico de vacinação completo com três doses da Vacina Injetável Poliomielite (VIP), devem ser imunizadas indiscriminadamente com a Vacina Oral Poliomielite (VOP).
De acordo com dados do Painel do Ministério da Saúde, em Minas Gerais, 1.045.371 crianças devem receber a vacina contra a pólio. Até esta segunda-feira (17), foram aplicadas 818.977 doses.
Já a Campanha Nacional de Multivacinação é destinada a crianças e adolescentes com até 14 anos, que ainda não estão vacinados ou que estejam com esquemas vacinais incompletos.
