Nos últimos 30 dias, 185 ciclistas de 14 cidades da região participaram do Desafio Virtual do Trabalhador 500km, promovido pelo grupo BikeNS com o apoio da prefeitura por meio da secretaria de Esporte e Lazer. O evento, com participação gratuita, foi encerrado na última terça-feira (15).
Os atletas inscritos fizeram seus próprios trajetos na modalidade montainbike, comprovando o percurso e a quilometragem por meio de aplicativos de monitoramento esportivo. Os primeiros atletas a concluírem os 500km foram premiados. Os demais atletas que completaram os 500 km receberam um kit de participação e medalha.
Os primeiros colocados entre homens e mulheres (rei e rainha dos 500 km) foram o casal André Albuquerque e Maria Albuquerque (mocinha), do grupo Família Pedal Show Team, de Nova Serrana.
As cidades representadas foram Nova Serrana, Araújos, Leandro Ferreira, Conceição do Pará, Onça de Pitangui, Martinho Campos, Pitangui, Luz, Pequi, Pará de Minas, Bom Despacho, Papagaios, Morada Nova de Minas e Belo Horizonte.
O evento também contou com o apoio das empresas espaço Fit e Elo Bikes.
