Caso não seja selecionado em nenhuma das duas chamadas, o candidato ainda pode manifestar interesse na lista de espera, entre os dias 13 e 14 de setembro, e aguardar a divulgação do resultado em 17 de setembro. Sendo pré-selecionado, ele passa para a fase de comprovação de informações de 19 a 23 de setembro.
O Prouni oferece bolsas de estudo, integrais e parciais, em instituições particulares de educação superior, em cursos de graduação e sequenciais de formação específica. O programa conta com um sistema de seleção informatizado e impessoal, que ocorre duas vezes ao ano, conferindo transparência e segurança ao processo de oferta de bolsas de estudo realizado pelo Ministério da Educação.
