Neste sábado, 4 de outubro, será o dia D de vacinação antirrábica na zona urbana de Nova Serrana. A ação tem como objetivo garantir a proteção de cães e gatos contra a raiva, uma doença grave que pode ser transmitida aos seres humanos.
A vacinação é gratuita e obrigatória para cães e gatos a partir dos 3 meses de idade, incluindo animais idosos, fêmeas prenhas, paridas ou amamentando.
Para maior segurança, é necessário que:
● Cães sejam conduzidos com coleira e guia;
● Animais mais agressivos utilizem focinheira;
● Gatos sejam transportados em caixas apropriadas;
● Tutores levem a carteirinha de vacinação do animal, quando disponível.
A Prefeitura reforça ainda que crianças e idosos não devem ser responsáveis por levar os animais até os postos de vacinação, a fim de evitar acidentes.
