A Campanha Nacional de Vacinação contra a Gripe começará no dia 25 de março. Em nota, o Ministério da Saúde informou que a imunização, tradicionalmente realizada entre os meses de abril e maio, foi antecipada este ano em razão do aumento da circulação de vírus respiratórios no país.

 

A pasta informou ainda ter negociado a entrega antecipada das doses, que estão previstas para serem distribuídas aos estados das regiões Nordeste, Centro-Oeste, Sudeste e Sul a partir do dia 20 de março. Municípios do Norte já realizaram a imunização entre novembro e dezembro do ano passado, atendendo às particularidades climáticas da região.

 

De acordo com o ministério, a vacina previne contra os vírus que geralmente começam a circular no país nos meses de maio, junho e julho. Nessa quarta-feira (29), a secretária de Vigilância em Saúde e Ambiente, Ethel Maciel, disse que a pasta vem observando uma antecipação da circulação de vírus respiratórios no Brasil.

 

A dose utilizada é a trivalente e, portanto, conta com três tipos de cepas combinadas, protegendo contra os principais vírus em circulação no Brasil. A estimativa do ministério é que 75 milhões de pessoas sejam imunizadas. A pasta informa que a vacina influenza pode ser administrada na mesma ocasião de outros imunizantes do Calendário Nacional de Vacinação. (COM AGÊNCIA BRASIL)
