A Polícia Militar confirmou a morte de um homem de 35 anos dentro da Unidade de Pronto Atendimento (UPA) de Nova Serrana. O caso foi registrado na noite dessa quinta-feira (6).
Segundo a PM, o funcionário responsável contou à equipe que a vítima já havia sido liberada após ter recebido atendimento médico. Mas, foi até o banheiro da unidade, onde se trancou e cometeu o autoextermínio. Algum tempo o fato foi constatado.
Em nota, a prefeitura disse que lamenta o ocorrido e informou que a vítima era assistida pela Secretaria Municipal de Desenvolvimento Social, através do Centro de Atendimento à População em Situação de Rua (Centro POP Rua).
Os atendimentos não foram paralisados, uma vez que a ocorrência não foi registrada na área dos consultórios. Porém, parte da unidade teve de ser isolada para que a perícia técnica da Polícia Civil realizasse os trabalhos necessários. Logo em seguida, o corpo foi liberado ao serviço funerário.
