TSE MARCA JULGAMENTO DE BOLSONARO PARA 22 DE JUNHO

O Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) marcou para 22 de junho o julgamento do processo aberto contra o ex-presidente Jair Bolsonaro após a reunião com embaixadores, realizada em julho do ano passado, no Palácio da Alvorada, em que ele atacou o sistema eletrônico de votação. Se for condenado, Bolsonaro ficará inelegível por oito anos e não poderá disputar as próximas eleições.

 

Na ação, ex-presidente é acusado de abuso de poder político e uso indevido dos meios de comunicação. Após a realização da reunião do presidente com embaixadores, o PDT entrou com uma ação de investigação no TSE. Em seguida, liminarmente, o tribunal determinou a retirada das imagens do encontro das redes sociais e da transmissão oficial do evento por entender que houve divulgação de fatos inverídicos ou descontextualizados sobre o sistema de votação.

 

Em parecer enviado ao TSE, a Procuradoria-Geral Eleitoral (PGE) defendeu a condenação de Bolsonaro. Para o órgão, Bolsonaro divulgou aos embaixadores informações inverídicas sobre o sistema de votação. Durante a tramitação da ação, a defesa de Bolsonaro defendeu que o caso não poderia ser julgado pela Justiça Eleitoral. No entendimento dos advogados, o evento com os embaixadores foi realizado em 18 de julho, quando Bolsonaro não era candidato oficial às eleições de 2022 e o nome dele ainda não tinha sido aprovado em convenção partidária.
