A vacina da Pfizer contra a covid-19 para crianças entre 6 meses e 4 anos será oferecida em todo o país assim que a área técnica do Ministério da Saúde aprovar a recomendação do imunizante. Segundo o Ministério da Saúde, o início da aplicação não demorará porque o governo tem contrato com a fabricante. “O Ministério da Saúde tem contrato com a Pfizer para fornecimento de todas as vacinas aprovadas pela Anvisa e incluídas no Plano Nacional de Operacionalização da Vacinação contra a Covid-19 (PNO). Havendo aprovação da recomendação pela área técnica da Pasta, as vacinas serão disponibilizadas para todo Brasil, como já ocorre com as demais faixas etárias”, informou a pasta, em nota.
O ministério não deu outras informações, como calendário de vacinação. Em tese, cabe aos estados e aos municípios decidir o cronograma de imunização com base na chegada de doses aos postos de saúde.

A versão pediátrica da vacina da Pfizer tem dosagem diferente da usada em faixas etárias acima de 12 anos. A formulação autorizada pela Anvisa deverá ser aplicada em três doses de 0,2 ml (equivalente a 3 microgramas). As duas doses iniciais devem ser administradas com três semanas de intervalo, seguidas por uma terceira dose aplicada pelo menos oito semanas após a segunda dose.
