O Governo de Minas vai enviar aos municípios 5% de doses das vacinas contra a covid-19 estocadas para reserva técnica do Estado. O objetivo é ampliar a disponibilidade de imunizantes e acelerar a vacinação nas cidades. O anúncio foi feito pelo governador Romeu Zema em coletiva à imprensa nesta quinta-feira (8).
Zema disse que o Estado está alterando o processo de distribuição adotado até agora para agilizar ao máximo a imunização dos mineiros. “A reserva técnica de 5% que sempre foi estocada agora será enviada aos municípios para que haja maior disponibilidade de vacinas. Não é recomendado estocar doses neste momento. A vacina só resolve nosso problema quando ela está aplicada no braço de quem precisa, e não dentro do refrigerador aguardando. A vacinação é a única solução definitiva para a pandemia”, alertou. A distribuição das doses “extras” vai priorizar os municípios que estiverem na frente no processo de imunização, com as menores quantidades de doses estocadas.
“Algumas prefeituras não buscam as vacinas com a velocidade que poderiam ou não aplicam com a velocidade que poderiam. Temos solicitado aos prefeitos que o processo não seja interrompido, apesar de sabermos que os profissionais de Saúde estão exaustos. Onde há disponibilidade de vacina, que é na maioria das prefeituras, que esse processo continue inclusive aos fins de semana. Também temos ajuda do setor privado, como o Unidos Pela Vacina, que está apadrinhando diversas prefeituras com dificuldades e tem contribuído para a solução desse problema”, afirmou.

Conforme o secretário de Saúde, o médico Fábio Baccheretti, o número de internações de pessoas com mais de 85 anos (público que já recebeu as duas doses da vacina), teve uma redução expressiva, o que comprova a eficácia do imunizante. “Temos uma redução quase total em número de casos de pacientes nessa idade. É um alento muito importante neste momento e reforça a atenção dos municípios em crescer na vacinação. O que vai mudar esse momento nosso é a vacinação. Esperamos novas remessas do Ministério da Saúde, esperamos que elas ocorram de forma constante e mais acelerada”, destacou.
Sobre a eficácia da vacinação para as novas variantes do coronavírus, o secretário de Saúde explicou que as vacinas existentes atualmente funcionam para as novas cepas.
“Já saíram vários estudos confirmando que a nova cepa P1, a de Manaus, que é a mais prevalente no estado, tem uma boa resposta em relação à Coronavac, a vacina mais aplicada aqui. Também já temos estudos sobre a AstraZeneca que estão confirmando a eficácia, o que nos deixa tranquilos”, disse o médico Fábio Baccheretti.
O secretário também comentou as novas mutações identificadas em Belo Horizonte por pesquisadores da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais.
“Ontem à noite fizemos uma reunião com a equipe técnica da UFMG e a principal conclusão, além da existência de uma nova cepa em BH, é que ela possui mutações nos mesmos locais da P1 e da P2, que são as cepas mais prevalentes no estado. Ainda não sabemos se é mais infectante ou mais letal. No momento, a informação mais importante desse estudo é que aquela cepa inicial vivenciada em 2020 praticamente não circula mais no estado. A que circula é a cepa mais infectante, que veio do Amazonas. Por isso a importância das restrições adotadas no estado”, esclareceu.
