O número de mortes por covid-19 no Brasil superou a marca de 440 mil vidas perdidas. Nas últimas 24 horas foram registradas 2.641 óbitos. A média móvel de mortes voltou a subir e, de acordo com os números divulgados pelo Conselho Nacional de Secretários de Saúde (Conass), nesta quarta-feira (19), chegou a 1.951. A soma das vítimas fatais da pandemia totalizou 441.691, desde o primeiro óbito causado pela doença, em 12 de março de 2020.
No mesmo período foram notificados 79.219 novos casos, somando 15.812.055. A região Sudeste concentra o maior número de casos e de óbitos. É na região Centro-Oeste, contudo, que a covid-19 registra a maior letalidade, levando-se em consideração a incidência a cada 100 mil habitantes.
