A Câmara Municipal de Nova Serrana realizou, nesta terça-feira (21/10), a solenidade de instalação da Procuradoria da Criança e do Adolescente no âmbito do Legislativo, um marco importante na atuação em defesa dos direitos das crianças e dos adolescentes no município.
A Procuradoria tem como principal objetivo zelar pelo cumprimento das políticas públicas municipais voltadas à proteção integral desse público, conforme o Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA – Lei Federal nº 8.069/1990). Entre suas atribuições estão: contribuir para o enfrentamento das discriminações e violências, receber e encaminhar denúncias de violações aos órgãos competentes, promover campanhas educativas, apoiar a execução de programas municipais voltados à infância e juventude e articular-se com o Poder Executivo para fortalecer a rede de proteção.
A solenidade contou com a presença dos vereadores, do secretário municipal de Educação, Tomás Resende, que representou o prefeito Fábio Avelar; do presidente da OAB, Dr. Ezequiel Cilas; além de representantes do Conselho Tutelar, Polícia Militar, Guarda Municipal, 120º Grupo de Escoteiros Bravos da Serra, Projeto Meninos de Ouro, alunos da Escola do Legislativo e estudantes das escolas Marçal Moreira, Padre Lauro, Alice Cândida, Geralda de Assis e CEMEI Marta Duarte.
Na ocasião, o vereador Heliene Santana foi nomeado e tomou posse como o 1º Procurador da Criança e do Adolescente da Câmara Municipal. Em seu pronunciamento, ele ressaltou que a nova função representa uma grande responsabilidade: “Esta será uma missão pela qual zelarei com muito empenho e comprometimento”, declarou.
Como primeiro ato efetivo da Procuradoria, o presidente Guilherme Bueno anunciou a implementação de pulseirinhas de atendimento prioritário para crianças e adolescentes com necessidades especiais que utilizarem os serviços da Câmara. A iniciativa, que já havia sido tema de proposições anteriores das vereadoras Tainá Zumerli e Naide Santos, agora se torna realidade com o apoio dos parlamentares e a atuação da nova Procuradoria.
